The Nico's Yarncaster is a Stage 6 fishing rod that features unique passives. Firstly, the default passive of this rod grants a 30% chance for Skrunkly (2.5x) mutation.

It also includes an interactive cat named Nico, which appears upon equipping the rod and stays near the player. Nico performs passive fishing, providing the player with a random fish from the current bestiary every 60 seconds while not fishing. The fish obtained this way will have a weight equal to the base weight + minimum weight of the selected fish and will always be mutated with Nico's Nyantics (5x).

Lastly, if the player has the Clownfish Cat Toy equipped, there is a 30% chance to catch a Nico's Nyantics (5x) mutation fish.

• Control Boost: The rod has 0.1 control (+10%, resulting in a bar 40% of the reeling minigame)

Although it possesses several unique passives, this rod is generally not considered suitable for money-making and is instead valued primarily for collection purposes.
