The Dreambreaker is a high-tier rod with balanced stats and a strong focus on adaptability. It offers high Lure Speed, solid Luck, and good Control, making it effective for most types of fishing. Its high Resilience also helps maintain stability while fishing, giving it dependable performance across different situations.

The rod's passive abilities change depending on the time of day:

• During Day: Halves fish size but maintains a 25% chance to apply the Distraught (8.5x) mutation for increased value.
• During Night: Increases fish size by 50%, raises the mutation chance to 35%, and adds a periodic slash effect that boosts catch progress similar to the Fabulous Rod.

In addition to the rod's passives, it also offers a unique effect against Progress Speed. The rod boosts progress speed by +15%. However, during the Night, the rod also applies a -15% Forced Progress Speed, which cancels the effects of the progress speed boost for most fish. When used against Progress-Locked fish (e.g., Scylla), the effects of the -15% Forced progress speed will be more prominent as it can no longer be cancelled out by the base progress speed.
